Thalathoor heritage house was rebuilt in the early 1900s and is home to members of the Kodoth family. The family lineage here dates back more than 200 years. This heritage home has lovingly been converted into a pioneer eco-friendly homestay by the Nair family which includes Dr. K K Nair, Mrs. Shyamala and Mr. Vijay Nair. The Thalathoor heritage is a homestay in Bekal nestled between dense areca nut plantation and a 5 minute drive from the banks of Chandragiri River. Thalathoor House is a charming homestay in Kasargod, with its traditional swimming pool (Kolam), gnarled old trees and aura of peace and tranquility of a bygone era. Built with age old vedic architectural methods (vastu shastara), this heritage homestay blends in beautifully with its tropical surroundings. The Thalathoor Heritage is probably the only homestay in Kerala that has annual Theyyam performances. The homestay is also equipped with a sustainable vegetables garden that helps promote an organic lifestyle. The vision of Thalathoor Heritage is an eco-friendly home where mind, body and soul are nurtured in harmony with the land.
